VPD surveillance & immunization update workshop was organised by Dr Mujeeb (SMO, WHO),& Dr Lalit Une (HOD & Prof, dept of Paediatrics) on 18th July 2024 for spreading information about vaccine preventable diseases and their surveillance, encouraging vaccination & maximum reporting of cases from Indian Institute of medical science and research, Jalna. Workhop was held at CME hall, IIMSR at 2pm along with lunch.

- Dr. Sontakke, Taluka Health officer, Badnapur.
Medical Superintendant Dr Ishrat, Dr Nagapurkar, Dr Anjana Santpure , Dr Gawli, Dr Solanki(Prof Medicine), Dr Bhingare, Dr R C Mahajan, Dr GhazanfarAli, Dr Badar, Dr Giri, Dr Shafee(Prof PSM) and residents from Paeditrics, Medicine, PSM, OBGY, ENT, Skin with a total 60 delegates were present.
Dr Mujeeb conducted an interactive session on VPD surveillance, with their case definitions, namely Measles, Diphtheria, Acute flaccid paralysis, Pertussis and Neonatal Tetanus along with latest Immunization update. Reporting of Adverse effects following Immunization was also emphasized on to improve vaccine delivery service. Various contact numbers were provided for reporting of suspected cases.
