An Infection Control Week was held from 27th November to 29th November 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, organized by the Department of Microbiology. The inauguration was conducted by the Dean, Medical Superintendent, CEO, and Hospital Director on 27th November at 2:30 PM. A brief introduction was provided by the students, followed by a skit presentation that emphasized the importance of infection control in hospitals for healthcare workers.

The healthcare workers included nurses, OT staff, technicians, X-ray technicians, ward boys, attendants, and mausis.

The following activities were conducted with the healthcare workers:

  1. Hand Hygiene
  2. Personal Protective Equipment (Donning & Doffing)
  3. Vaccination of healthcare workers
  4. Biomedical Waste Management
  5. Spill Management

The healthcare staff received hands-on training on these topics.

A poster competition was held among the students of Batch-2023 on the following topics:

  1. Heart of the Hospital (CSSD)
  2. Let’s Break Up with Germs (Infection Prevention)
  3. Be a Vaccine Hero (HCWs)

All students of Batches 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 participated in the poster presentation. Prizes were awarded to the top three posters for their outstanding presentations.

An activity of Treasure Hunt was also organized.

Prizes were distributed to all winners of the activities. Certificates were presented to the organizers and the winners by the Dean, Dr. Azhar Ahmed Siddiqui Sir.
