The Department of Medicine, IIMS&R, Warudi and Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, Aurangabad had organized a programme on Critical Care Awareness at CME Hall, JIIU’s IIMS&R, Warudi on 3rd August, 2024.
The Programme typically aimed at creating awareness regarding the importance of Critical Care Medicine among UG and PG students.
The scientific sessions focused on important topics like:
1. Approach to a Critically ill patient
2. NIV
3. Approach to diagnosis and management of Sepsis and Septic shock
4. Arrythmias in ICU
Speakers included some of the most eminent intensivists of Aurangabad District, namely
1. Dr. Vinod Gosavi (Intensivist, Kamal Nayan Bajaj Hospital, Aurangabad and Chairperson, ISCCM, Aurangabad)
2. Dr. Yogesh Lakkas (Assoc. Prof and ICU Incharge, IIMS&R and Secretary, ISCCM, Aurangabad)
3. Dr. Sharad Biradar (Intensivist, Care CIIGMA Hospital, Aurangabad)
4. Dr. Prashant Akulwar, Physician and Intensivist, MGM Hospital, Aurangabad)

The Programme saw a large participation from faculties, residents, interns and students.
The sessions were conducted in an interactive way which benefitted PG residents a lot.
